$10,000? $1,000,000?

Post by Nickswitz »

I thought of this because of the thread on 'The Box'

What is life worth? How much would you ask for in return for someone's life.
Say someone came up to you and told you they would give you money if you killed them, how much would you ask for, would you not take it at all, would you refuse to do it...
The world ended

Wait - money if I killed them?

Now it goes to "depends on the circumstances".

If some guy confessed to killing a bunch of kids or women, then offered me money to off him...

Couldn't really say.

This is a bit of a bizzare situation. Either someone's not going to kill them at all, or they will kill them but will ask for the highest price they're willing to offer.

I like to hope I wouldn't kill somebody for any amount of money.

By the way, for those who say they would kill a rapist or child molester for free... you realise that with that attitude around it just encourages suicidal people to rape or molest children to get what they want, right?

Huh. I actually hadn't considered that scenario.

This has been a really esoteric week for topics.

Hmm.... I don't think I'd kill the person. I would recommend the local suicide prevention hotline though.
No trees were killed in transmission of this message. However, some electrons were mildly inconvenienced.

I can't really set a price, I'd have to assess it on a case by case basis.

I took the priceless option, not nesissarily because I believe in the sanctitiy of all human life, but because I don't want to get in trouble with local homicide AND the IRS

Back to this reality, I can't kill in cold blood. It's one of the reasons I won't ever join the military.

I'd say no. I could kill somebody in combat, or in a self defense situation....I've already experienced that kind of thing, and I did pull the trigger (like 25 times). I could POSSIBLY kill somebody in "the box" scenario, because I'd never see the person or ever really know that somebody died...not to mention no consequences at all.

I'm pretty sure that I couldn't murder somebody face to face in cold blood. Not for any amount of money.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned...

I doubt highly that i would have the strength to kill someone, no matter what money they give me.
