BluRay Extras
Just watchin them and finally we get canon information:
-) On the length of the Enterprise: 2379,75 feet or 725,35 meters
-) furthermore it is hinted, that the captain of the Kelvin descended down into the engineering section via the turbolift and NOT down to the hangar bay thus one of the YATIS in the review isn't one.
-) The Kelvin is in service for some 30 years.
-) The Narada is 30737,3 feet or 9368,73 meters long.
-) The Kelvin is 1500 feet or 457,2 meters long.
-) Spocks ship is 178 feet or 54,25 meters long.
-) It is revealed how Kirk implemented the virus into the Kobyashi Maru test.
-) The Klingons found out where Nero came from and wanted to use his knowledge against the Federation.
-) The centaurian slugs Nero used on Pike were stolen by Nero from the klingon prison.

Lol, the DVD extras are a commantary, a short "making of" and the gag reel. I was hoping for the klingon prison planet scenes.....shame.
I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favorite store on the Citadel.

Only the 1-Disk DVD, the 2-Disks DVD is supposed to include all those cut scenes such as the Klingon prison, and much more...Atekimogus wrote:Lol, the DVD extras are a commantary, a short "making of" and the gag reel. I was hoping for the klingon prison planet scenes.....shame.

Re: BluRay Extras
The deleted scenes section on BluRay show incomplete FX-shots of the Klingons surrounding the Narada, some additional shots with Kirk and the green lady, some prison scenes, Spocks birth, a scene with Sarek and the old Spock... and I think thats it.
Additional information give the interior of the Kelvin as an abandoned power plant and the interior of the Enterprise as a new Budweiser production facility (in return for the location that's probably why Uhura is ordering Budweiser in the bar )

Well... not additional, but changed in the dialogue compared to the released version, because... how was her name?... was important to the cheating in the Kobayashi Maru test.

Re: BluRay Extras
Bernd Schneider runs Ex Astris Scientia, and he is not, by a very long shot, a fan of the neoE, or pretty much anything about the Abramsverse for that matter. One of his big gripes is that it's "too big", and he rejects any evidence that demonstrates the ship's size as "SFX errors".

Re: BluRay Extras
Well. He ain't gonna like it then... although some of the reasons why the Enterprise is less than 750m is just a point of view rather than reason. There is nothing like "too big" for a starship to be entertaining
