Writers Answer Fan FAQ
Been reading this article.
Some still disagree and don't like certain plot points.
Not me, however, I think the writers have sufficiently done their homework and the fact that they have answers for everything, many of which are based on real science, is stunning and I really respect them for that:

Some good questions and really great dorky nits. The fact that the writers would answer these are great, and shows tremendous effort to be smart about things.
Don't you hear my call, though you're many years away, don't you hear me calling you?

They studied Quantum Mechanics for the movie to make sense according to current theory, I love that. The though tthat went into this movie is insane, so much more than seemed before I read these. I hope they continue thinking like this in the movies to come.

Wow, they sure beat the time travel aspect to death. Yet no one bothered to ask why they increased the size of the Enterprise (which is the only question I have).
No trees were killed in transmission of this message. However, some electrons were mildly inconvenienced.

Because bigger is always better.

I'm not seeing it. The writers seem to be double talking IMO, and not really answering much of anything.
They say that in the Army,
the women are mighty fine.
They look like Phyllis Diller,
and walk like Frankenstein.
