Xindi vs Klingon Empire

Post by SuperSaiyaMan12 »

Same scenario that Earth faced. The Xindi attack Q'onos, triggering a response from the Empire. Can the Klingons face the Xindi and destroy the Weapon before it arrives in the Empire? Make it through the Expanse and everything?

I think the only problem the Klingons would face is making too many enemies in the expanse... and lack of scientific prowess.
Tactically, they'd wipe the floor with most Expanse ships.
They most likely would have sent a fleet, not just one ship.

Tough to say. Agreed that they would have sent a "once-and-for-all" fleet to deal with the Xindi; but after that, we just don't know enough about the Xindi standing fleet or there ability to weather attrition.

I think they would have had a harder time dealing with the expance.

But yeah, I think they would just send a fleet to kick arse. But with the quest for personal honor and such I'm not sure how well they would do in battle with the Xindi.

The Xindi combined fleet was pretty impressive.

I'd go for the Xindi with the home field advantage.

I'd call it a draw. We've seen those Aquadic ships and they are nasty! Mix that with the abilities of the rest of the Xindi I don't see the Klingons of ENT being able to force a win. However I'd be shocked if the Klingons didn't just ram the "Death Star" and watch it go boom. The Xindi would have to start over again. A whole other year to build a new one. That gives the Klingons an year to replace their fleet and try again.

Soem of the Xindi ships did indeed kick ass; but I don't believe there's any info as to Xindi fleet numbers, industrial capability, or ability to weather battle losses.

They built a death star, that points at a impressive industrial base.

They built a death star with an unquantified amount of assistance from people from the 25th century, you mean.

Technical support, I was under the impression the physical buildong of it was done all by them.

OK... and they made how many full-scale production models, again?

One.

One great big honking death star. Compared to the witnessed industial capability of any of the other species seen that is an impressive feat.

And while resources may have been pulled from all quarters the construction was done purely by the aquatics. One fraction of the Xindi can build that thing.

That could very well indicate that only the aquatics have any real high-powered industrial capacity. I'm not saying you're definitely wrong; just that it's not enough evidence to make the assumptions about their replenishment capability as a whole that you seem to have made.

Just a note; the Xindi superweapon used kemocite in some sort of chemical or chain reaction to destroy it's target, so it's not quite as impressive as you make it out to be by comparing it to the Death Star. Still pretty impressive for the tech level we saw in ST. But apparently the Aquatics are the heavy hitters in Xindi culture, several statements where made by Degra implying that if the Aquatics approved of something the others would follow and their ships where apparently fairly powerful compared to their relatives.

How big was the Xindi Death Star?
