"WTF" stories

Okay, after reading an article in a local newspaper today, I decided to set this thread up. This is for
true stories that just really make you wonder "
" was that about.
To get things started, here's what a local free newspaper,
The Metro, had in it today (not the real article itself, as I threw out the paper in question this morning, foolishly, but this is what it was about).
"In Austria yesterday, an armless man stole a 60 inch HD TV by strapping it to his body and just walking out of the shop. None of the shop workers noticed anything amiss until one spotted that the TV's display unit was missing. Upon watching the CCTV footage, they spotted the man stealing the TV."
Now, what I want to know is
how the fuck does an armless man strap a 60" TV to himself and walk out of the shop without anyone noticing????

Was this before or after he murdered Richard Kimble's wife and beat up Ernest Borgnine?

Ok, Rochey......I got you now.
How did an armless man strap a HD TV to himself? With what appendage did he manipulate the straps?

If said appendage was the flexable, likely this fellow would never leave the house

Well, if the police caught up with him, at least they wouldn't have to report him as "armed and dangerous."
Oh, dear Lord, I'm sorry for that one.

"Put your hand in the air and come out quietly"?
How the hell did they cuff him?

I have absolutely no idea. Hence why I called it a "WTF" story. I swear though that I'm not making this up. It was reported in a local newspaper.

Oh dear oh dear. I really do hope that there are no cloaked alien races up there in space who were watching....

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. - A spacewalking astronaut accidentally let go of her tool bag Tuesday after a grease gun inside it exploded, and helplessly watched as the tote and everything inside floated away.
It was one of the largest items ever to be lost by a spacewalker, and occurred during an unprecedented attempt to clean and lube a gummed-up joint on a solar panel.
Heidemarie Stefanyshyn-Piper was just starting to work on the joint when the mishap occurred.
She said her grease gun exploded, getting the dark gray stuff all over a camera and her gloves. While wiping off herself, the white, backpack-size bag slipped out of her grip, and she lost all her other tools.
"Oh, great," she mumbled.
Stefanyshyn-Piper was carrying out the spacewalk with Stephen Bowen. He had his own tool bag with another grease gun, putty knife and oven-like terry cloth mitts to wipe away metal grit from a clogged joint at the space station.
Mission Control agreed the spacewalk would continue as planned, and that the two astronauts would share

They've just doomed mankind. Those tools will return in a few hundred years as a sentient robot bent on exacting revenge now.

Heh, I wonder what an astronaut toolkit costs. Fifty grand? A hundred?
