OK, I'm going to have to demote all you Admirals for the purpose of this thread.

So, we have Kirk, who'd give his life for his crew; Picard, a fair man who will always take time to talk; Sisko, who will give you a serious talking down when you go wrong but is loyal to his trusted officers; Janeway, eh, well, she managed to keep the ship in one piece; and Archer, who you can just beat silly if you don't like him.

I'd really have no problem with any of the first three, myself.

I assume this means aboard their ships, too, right?

Kirk:
Pros: On a good reliable vessel, with an excelent crew and a captain that gives a damn about people and has the guts to stand up for what's right, regardless of what anyone else says. As long as you're not wearing a red shirt, you should be just fine. Plus, these are the days of the proper 'kick ass and take names' Federation who aren't afraid to get the dirty work done. Also, all women wear miniskirts. That's a morale boost right there.

Cons: If you are wearing a red shirt then you stand a good chance at being killed to show how dangerous the situation is.

Picard:
Pros: Working with a very good crew, and a captain that actual cares about his crew. Not afraid to stand up and do the right thing.....unless the PD says otherwise.

Cons: On a ship that has every design flaw imaginable and a few extra. Stand a good chance of being eaten by the Spatial Anomaly Of The Week.

Sisko:
Pros: Not afraid to do the right thing for the greater good, even if it compromises his principles. Cares about his crew, and very loyal.

Cons: You get involved in virtualy every battle of the whole war. Have to endure constant moralising speeches.

Janeway::
Pros: Uhm...........

uh, pass.

Cons: Stuck 75 years from home due to the captain's deep personal stupidity. Stand a good chance of being killed by aliens, spatial anomalies, cheese, other crew members, quantum subspace screwups and virtualy everything you can think of.

Archer:
Pros: Uh, no idea. I'm sure there's a good quality there somewher....but I just can't think of any right now. At least your name will go down in the history books.

Cons: Again, can't really think of anything.

Conclusion:
Kirk all the way.

Kirk, all those woman have to have horny friends. Friends who need love...

Anyway, I'd have to say Kirk. You'd never have to rationalize your morality to fit some arbitrary rule.

I'll say Sisko since he seems to have the most interesting Commad.

No...I walked in on my cousin. Four women, not one of them his wife. All of them at least 10 years younger then her too. Most awkward moment I had before puberty.

*snicker* That happened to my wife, she walked in on all four sisters (seperate times) with their BF's. I get a good laugh out of that everytime they visit.
