J. Michael Straczynski is returning to outer space, with a “from-the-ground-up reboot” of Babylon 5 for The CW.
TVLine has learned that the reboot Straczynski is developing for The CW follows John Sheridan, an Earthforce officer with a mysterious background, who is assigned to Babylon 5, a five-mile-long space station in neutral space. Babylon 5 serves as a port of call for travelers, smugglers, corporate explorers and alien diplomats at a time of uneasy peace and the constant threat of war. Sheridan arrival triggers “a destiny beyond anything he could have imagined,” when an exploratory Earth company accidentally triggers a conflict with a civilization a million years ahead of us, putting him and the rest of the B5 crew in the line of fire as the last, best hope for the survival of the human race.

It's a channel in the US that shows the DC Universe tv series like The Flash, Supergirl, etc...and other shows.

I'm just... one possible angle I've heard for JMS to do is the original way he wanted to do Babylon Five, without having to rejigger and activate all those trap doors. And I can see that being a viable way to reboot the series.

Surprised you don't know that. I mean not in the channel but their reputation.IanKennedy wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 9:59 pm Hmm... reboots... I'm not sure. I don't know what The CW is?
It's gotten to that point where if someone says 'it looks like a CW show' it means it looks bad.

The CW is... it's almost like Wish.com of networks.

Pretty much.RK_Striker_JK_5 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 21, 2021 9:56 pm The CW is... it's almost like Wish.com of networks.
Their version of the DC universe like The Flash, Supergirl and Green Arrow share similar problems. Teams. Teams so big that the character himself or herself isn't even the main character anymore in the show. Or the main character making the same mistakes each season he or she was supposed to learn from. Romances left and right. Underwhelming fight scenes. Reused plot arcs especially with the Flash for each season.
There is a giant list. I am sure there is some YouTube video on someone breaking down CW.
