On another note, we've just hit page 666.

Too bad 696 is the proper interpretation of the mark of the beast.

I vaguely recall reading an article a while back that someone way back when had fudged up the translation and it was actually 696 or some such.

666 was probably the number for his ex-wifes house. ;)

Exactly. The original translation that gave us 666 wasn't that great. However the number stuck even though the proper translation is 696.

Spend some time integrated into the high school popular girls. You'll become immune to it in short order.

It's a bit different when you want to sleep with them.

The girls, not your mother.

Well not my mother, maybe your mother though I'd need to see a pic first.

I mean no disrespect to my mother, I mean I love the woman, but...A 41 year old, fluffy haired lady with glasses as thick as my finger who ways around 16 stone and doesn't carry it that well.

I would take a fair guess you wouldn't :P

What, the same translation that gave us Moses descending from Sinai with "horns" of light emerging from his head rather than "rays?"

Actually, there is an old bigoted legend/folklore/belief that Jews have horns precisely because of this. St. Jerome, when creating the first Latin translation of the Bible known as the Vulgate, came upon the Hebrew word "kareni'im" which can be translated either as "horns (as of an animal)" or as "rays." Since the phrase was that Moses descended with "____ of light" emanating from his head, good old Jerome decided that the translation that makes more sense is obviously "horns."

Well, the Vulgate is long out of use because of numerous other errors; but it was in use long enough for Michelangelo to be familiar with it when he sculpted his now-famous bust of Moses, complete with devil-horns. On the lighter side: klezmer is a traditional Yiddish folk music. Being from Northeastern Europe, it involves among other instuments trumpets, clarinets, and various other brass. Modern klezmer band the Klezmatics have titled one of their Albums Jews With Horns.

We have a radio show....Art Laurie: Coast to Coast on the AM radio. It's all about "different stuff". He once interviewed a guy claiming to be a time traveller, another claiming to be an honest vampire, and yet another claiming to be the anti-christ. Once he interviewed this guy who had a revelation that the God depicted in the old testemenat was really "The Evil One" and the Jews were his servants. Jesus Christ however, is man kinds savior and is truely God (the good one).

Does anybody else see some HUGE logical inconsistiencies here?
