"No, well yes, that's not..." Skive flustered. He stopped, took a deep breath, and started over. "Buck, this book is entitled: The Emperor, false god of mankind. Subtitle: How we've all been fooled."

Muscles across Buck's body tighten almost as if to snap. "Trait'ors! Haire'tiks! We must burn this place!" The Ogryn's voice boomed in the room.

Skive tossed the book to the floor, and grabbed another at random. "The Lords of Choas, and how they've been misrepresented?" He tossed it aside and grabbed another. "Xeno Tech, and it's benefits in everyday life!" he practically roared. "Who would dare print such books, and who would be insane enough to stock their store with them!"

As if waiting for just such a question, a voice called out from the back of the store. "I would." Skive dropped the book and spun towards the speaker, even as his servitor stepped between him and the stranger, guns leveled.

The man was tall, for a normal human, and well dressed in a fine dark suit. He was a handsome man, almost unnaturally so, his skin completely unbleamshied, teeth pearl white and perfectly straight. He smiled at them, and there was something predatory in the expression. "Welcome freinds, to my humble bookstore."

Buck, in an instant leveled his ripper at the man. "YOU SPEAK BAD OF THE EM'PER! YOU DIE NOW!"

"...you want to elaborate on that, or shall I just let you have it now?" Solaria asked flatly.

"Now now, there is no need for violence," the man said in a calm, reassuring voice that washed over them like a warm, pleasant breeze.

Buck looked at the calm man. Few people were ever so calm with an angry Ogryn in the room. "No, I like crush you now..." Buck charged the man, roaring in rage! "...and you break!"

"Well they were all torn up and you looked like you needed a bath. Ya know, so none of yer wounds get infected," Mir said sheepishly.

The man stared impassively as Buck charged. He didn't even try to dodge as the ogryn swung his weapon...which went right through the man without resistance, or noticable effect. He sighed. "Guess I shouldn't have expected anything better."

Solaria's face continued to redden, but she looked a bit less like she was considering doing Mir bodily harm. "Stand up please," she said. "And strip."

"Well if you wanna see mine," Mir said. He peeled off his armor and tossed it aside then pulled off his shirt and tossed it on top of the mesh suit.

Solaria blinked. "You'd actually go through with it if I insisted, wouldn't you?" she asked.

"Uh, depends on exactly what you mean by 'it,'. I mean if you just want something to not be naked cool. If you want to see everything so we're equal that's alright too. If you're wanting to uh... ya know. That I gotta pass on right now. It didn't turn out so hot last time."

Solaria stared at Mir a long moment, then gathering the sheet around herself, got somewhat shakily to her feet. With short, careful steps she made her way over to Mir, and put a hand to his forehead. "Hmmm, no fever..." she muttered.

"This time?" Solaria remarked. "Just cause she was using my mind to project a likeness of my body doesn't mean we've done anything."
