Thanks for everyone's thoughts. Some fluid collected around the gall bladder, but the organ seems OK. Liver enzymes are a little high. An anti-peristalsis drug seems to have helped, but the only medical opinion we've gotten so far is "probably not gallstones."

Well, that's... something. Hope she gets better, Mikey.

probably not gallstones
And this diagnosis likely cost around $5000

More than likely. But wait - it gets better: after the x-ray, CATscan, dog-scan, barium tracking, EKG (yes - for an abdominal problem ,) and everything else last night said that the gall bladder was likely OK, the gastroenterologist visited today. His analysis was that if an endo doesn't show any ulceration, he'd likely have to remove the gall bladder. His reasoning? T^hat the particular liver enzyme which reacts to gall bladder failure or sepsis WASN'T elevated, other ones LIKE it were. :bangwall:

A few more offerings to Tzeentch and maybe you'll get foresight?

I didn't say anything about predicting your specific current situation, Tyyr. My point was: if you've got two kids and another on the way, why do you seem surprised or upset that you have to work "12+ hour" days? Your illness is an obvious result of your exposure to the public for so many hours.

I'm just saying.

Mikey- man, you guys just keep getting slammed lately, and not in the fun way. :?

Anytime you feel like talking, let me know; I have unlimited long distance.

Thanks. I did get her to laugh, though - I told her that I could have told her I didn't know d**k (like the doctors) but instead of a huge bill it would've just cost a BJ.

I'm neither surprised or upset that I'm working 12 hour days and that work schedule has nothing to do with the number of children I have. If I had no children I'd be working the same hours and my illness began prior to commencing this work schedule.

Looking forward to some time off, the week was pretty boring. It's getting warmer so I may go fishing, but definitely gonna take the kids out for a bike ride.

I agreed with Seafort today. I found it odd to see him fighting on the side OF canon vs against canon. That may also be the reason I stayed out of the thread since I'm so used to bashing him. I'm not sure I'd know how to not do so even if I were on his side. This is a weird winter.

Also, my wallyball team got destroyed last night. Don't think we're in first place anymore.

I've always argued in favour of canon Deep. Our friendly little debates usually come about when we disagree on the relative weight to give to different bits of Wars canon - Trek's much simpler.

You really don't, but thats not the point this... I just found it weird to see the thread and think "that man is spot on" and then notice that its you. I'm not used to agreeing with you. So now, in one week I've found myself agreeing to you three threads in total. Which is to many to discount as a fluke.

SF missions, Trek, Warfare (battleships)... It would be like you suddenly agreeing with everything chakat would say over the course of a week. We both know you'd feel weird about that.

I need coffee.
