My doctor was upgrading his files from physical files to a computer system. He asked ME what I was on. (I could have scored anything), then not only fucked up two of my three perscriptions, he did so in a dangerous way. I take a pill called gabapenten for nerve pain. My regular pain pill is called Norco (its like Vicodin with less acidimiaphen and more codine to go easier on your liver), with the generic also called Hydrocodine something or other.

Now, he accidentally gave me a RX for hydromorphine (obviously a morphine based pain pill) I go to the pharmany, they fill them, and I'm about to pick them up when the clerk at the last minute does that RX check to verify the name. SHE catches it, and says "I can't give you this. If you take a morphine based pill with Gabapenton, you could have a fatal reaction.


I wanna blow something or someone up now.

Also, I did not know you can't take gabapentin with morphine-based stuff. Good thing I didn't take any when I got out of the hospital.

A follow up. I called the doc to complain, and the office said the new computer system has "predictive text". Now, I can't think of a single place worse to use a system that "guesses" what your going to say after a few letters.

Supposedly, they deactivated the feature, but the overall attitude is "Your fine, nothing happened, so quit bitching already."

They installed a system which can accidentally give you medicine and such that can kill you when taken together. Wow, someone's screwed up somewhere.

Not to mention misdiagnoses, incorrect names of treatments, and so forth.

It's a massive lawsuit looking for someone to happen too.

I hate when people take really blurry pics, I mean almost all cameras have auto-focus lenses, so there is no need for you to manually focus anymore. And I don't mean like cell phone camera's, I mean like 15-20MP professional grade cameras that they decide not to take the time to focus on, so they just look like an idiot took them.

If an idiot takes them, they're bound to look like an idiot took them.

I get out of work-late-and go down the road to get gas. Except the pump I'm at isn't working. The attendant on is new and her boss is on lunch, so I have to wait twenty minutes for her to get back and walk the attendant through getting my money back. Now, I'm not mad at the attendant. Not her fault and she was very polite and apologized profusely for the trouble.

I drive to another pump and fill up, then on my way again... until I hit route eleven and the massive construction going on there. And a traffic controller stops me to let some other cars go. Except at the time, I'm the only one on the road. What, he couldn't have waited a full thirty seconds for me to go past?!

Why do you get so upset over all of this? In the final analysis, it's just a forum where people talk - and necessarily, that turns into a forum where sometimes people disagree. That's all it is.
