We're getting snowed on, which means I'll get to shovel later on... Hopefully it won't be too bad...

Down here it's just been cold and rainy all day; it generally hasn't rained very hard but it hasn't stopped raining either.

I've been home sick all day...just now got the motivation to get up and check e-mail and the site.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Happy Birthday to me! For my gift, my father has colon cancer and I find out in 10 days or so how bad. Surgery in a month. So if I disappear around there, thats why.

Sorry to hear it, Kendall. It can be a very treatable form of cancer, so don't assume the worst until you have to. My prayers will be with you and your dad.

Best wishes for your Dad, Kendall.
I know two people who had it and pulled through without any adverse effects, so stay positive...

Thanks guys. Yeah it's supposed to be very treatable with even severe forms having a 50/50 chance of recovery. Whatever happens he'll be in for surgery in a month to take out a piece of his colon.

Damn, Kendell.......sorry to hear that man.

In other news, I'm getting evicted from my apartment. As some here know, my in-laws own my apartment which they were renting to me. My wife decided to run off with another woman, start using again, and is now on the run from the police. All of this is NATURALLY my fault and a failing as a husband, so I'm getting the boot. I've got until March 5th to get out.

Fun.

Jesus. Yet again this thread reminds me how fortunate I am to have such an uneventful life.

Well, except for some fucking moron in one of the chemistry labs almost setting the entire building up in flames after he disconnected a bunsen burner without turning off the gas nozzle he was using. This naturally resulted in the alarms going off, everyone in the lab block quickly evacuating outside and all of us standing around in the rain until they located and turned off the gas nozzle in question. How fun.

Though the image of the bursar running down the coridor screaming "Get out! Get out! Get out!" isn't one I'm going to forget for a long time.

Kendall, Mark, here's hoping things work out alright.

Damn, that sucks

Best wishes to you too Kendall. My dad has the same, and is going to have surgery about the same time as your dad will, so surely both will pull through fine.

So, today I had to shovel, each shovel load weighed upwards of 30 lbs easily... Tomorrow I'm gonna be in more pain then today... :madashell:

Bullsh*t.

I'll admit, I'm not up to date (see: don't know sh*t) on Hawaii's renter's rights laws, but I seriously doubt they can upend you without 30 days' notice.

Your not wrong. However, as my lease expired 2 months ago she simply had to "lose" the rent. So, I'm just going gracefully. I'm moving back in with my old roomates down by the University of Hawaii.

Women.

Don't get me wrong; I love the fun bits, but overall, they seem like a lot more trouble than they're worth. Lately, I've begun to understand why some of my friends just pay up front, if you get my meaning.
