Mir clambered into the lobby huffing and puffing. Solaria was out of it, perched on his back. He grabbed his weapons and backpack out of the can and worked his way back to the stairwell. Huffing and puffing he climbed back up the stairs, working towards the top slowly.

The hotel lobby was as filthy and foul smelling as ever. The monsterous xeno bug corpse however, was noticably missing from where Mir had left it in the stairwell. Taking the stairs up to the thrid floor, Mir reentered the hallway he had first met the daemoness, and was struck with an odd sense of deja vu, once again carrying a weak and mostly unconcisous Solaria. The hall was thankfully empty, though the hair still stood up on the back of Mir's neck.

Mir groaned as he saw the stairway empty of the bug. He didn't want to think about what might have taken the corpse and for what possible reason.

On his back, Solaria stirred slightly. "Dun wanna..." she murmured.

"Yeah, life's rough like that," Mir muttered as he climbed the stairs to the third floor.

Mir looked towards where they'd stayed the first time and shook his head. He headed in the opposite direction, waiting until they 2/3rds of the way down the hall before digging out the master key out of his pocket and opening the door, hellgun at the ready.

The room within was neat and orderly, if a bit dusty. It was a smaller room, consisting only of a sleeping area in front and a bathroom in the rear, with no windows. Twin beds lay against one wall.

"Uh...thanks."
The trip through the sewer was much as before for Buck, less dark thanks to the illuminator skull, and louder due to the heavy foot falls of the servitor, but still dank and smelly. After walking for a while, following after the floating servo-skulls, the group came to a section of sewer tunnel into which a ladder decended from above.
The ladder was slimy and rust colored, but looked strongly made and solidly fixed to the wall. It climbed upwards into a small opening in the ceiling of the tunnel, the opening leading to it's own tunnel, running vertically to the street above.
Skive examined the opening, and then looked at Buck. "It's going to be tight, but you should be able to squeeze through."
Buck came to the latter. It was small. Everything here was small. "Funny skull look then we go right?" It was easy to notice that Buck was nervous at the thought of going through the small space above them.

Mir cleared the room quickly, checking the bathroom and closets.

"No, the servitor will have to go first," Skive said. "The skull lacks the strength to lift the manhole cover." He motioned to the cybrog servent, and it began to climb the ladder, moving slowly due to only having one hand with which to grip the rungs. Skive regarded Buck as the servitor climbed. "Are you...feeling alright?"

The room was entirely empty, with nothing in the bathroom but soap and towels and nothing in the closet but hangers.

Buck nodded. "Small places don't like me, I don't like them. Em'per made us big for big places and big battle. Not for small places. Em'per have funny fly skulls for small places."

Skive nodded in understanding. "No worries Buck, the trip up is a short one, and then you should have plenty of space." The sound of metal grating across concret came from above, and sunlight poured down to light the space. Skive made his way to the ladder and, servo-skulls hovering about him, started to climb.

Buck hurried quickly behind Skive. Climbing as quickly as the human allowed him too. Buck's ripper gun beat against the ladder each time his massive hand slammed into the wall for an infant like fear of balance.
