I don't quite understand your grade system but if they're percentages they seem very good. I'm not sure I follow the 49/159 students if that is the case though. Are you saying that 1/3 of all students get more than 90% on average. Surely that can't be correct.

An average like that (unless you're in a magnet school or something) should put you in the top 15% or so.

All final grades (exam and year) are percentages out of 100. I'm 49th out of a class of 159. The race is very tight in our grade, I'm talking 10ths of percents here so it is entirely possible somebody else got a 90.753 or better, or someone got the same percentage as me, etc. 93-100 is an A(exceptional), 85-92 is a B(above average), 77-84 is a C (average),70-79 is a D(below average), and 00-69 is an F (Failing)...those are all percentages.

90% average over the last three years is excellent news. I find it difficult to believe that nearly 31% of the class gets a 90% or more average, that's one hell of a class :)

Well, off to visit my sister's family in Spain in a month, haven't seen my young nephew and niece for a few months so looking forward to that.
Then a week after that for a few days I'm visiting Paris with a couple of friends. Who are both girls and SINGLE!
Jackpot!

Believe me it is. I'm friends with our valedictorian, (#1)..the only thing she fears is being beaten, and there's a few people (especially new students this year) who can/have seriously shaken up the numbers.

It'll be tough but I'll try my best.

I went away with them last year to London for a few days - but one had a boyfriend and the other was just a good friend I'd known for too long. The first one no longer does and the second one - well, that excuse is going to pot this year.

And Ian - either a good class or a bad exam
