My guess is he will cite the actions taken by the Federation on the Klingon/Romulan border as precedent here for keeping outside parties not involved in a civil war. But that is just a guess. You can always disagree and either try to run the security cordon or bargin a way in for what you want in with the Feds. But there are really no international laws or rules in space, so he can declare what he wants. It is up to you guys to react to it.

Not really, setting up a security net between the Romulan-Klingon border during the Klingon civil war wasn't interference in the KCW, it simply prrevented the internal matter from being influenced and spreading to the other areas of the map.
EDIT:
Nice Call BIG, simultaneus posts.

And as Tsu now stated, this is a matter between I and the Kazon, not Ferengi and other Ferengi, the Ferengi planets just happen to have been involved as well.

Again, it's not really a civil war. I'm just going down to return the favor of assistance by squashing some Kazon bugs.
No cloaks, no tricks, no ulterior motives. Just want to stretch a bit, and see what my ships can do.
... Wait, seriously: these Kazon punks carve out half of a legitimate power's territory, and the Federation is okay with that? And, suddenly I have to be the good guy. Weird.

I disagree, from where I'm sitting this appears to be between two segments of the Ferangi Population, one of which contains the refugees you welcomed in and gave them rights within their government. So to me this isn't Ferangi vs Kazon who have some Ferangi, it's Ferangi vs Ferangi who have the Kazon.

So they are their own, independent power at this point is your stance? In that case you would need to like...declare war on them at some point, in which case you might have a legit gripe.

Someone pick a stance already, interfere or don't... fight or don't... all these damn circles are giving me a headache. You guys don't want me to come in and settle this do you!

That isn't the information
I have. Regardless, it's up to you. If you've decided to get involved and side with some rebels aided by Kazon douches (I always hated them), then just come out and say that. This "policing" nonsense is annoying, when you just recently took me to task for trying to do the same thing. They've asked me for help; I will be sending that help. I keep my word.

Apparently. The UFP has decided to become the USA and act unilaterally.

Thats a pretty narrow view Tuski. Perhapse the other nation (since they were legit) has taken actions to find help from outside as well? Look at it this way. If there were a civil war in Mexico do you think the US would allow North Korea to send troops there to help? Even if they were helping the side we might want to win?

Since I hope to be taking part in this particular game at some point, Can someone give me a basic line of the political climate of the moment? I have read some of the thread but am missing great patches.
Thanks a bunch guys!

Federation- They have struggled a bit in learning how to be the big boy on the block. But others have not made it easy for them either. Allies with the Cardassians fully and the Ferengi and Klingons as well. Though the Klingon and Ferengi alliances are strained by those powers close relations with the Breen, whom the Federation does not trust.
Breen- Allies of the Klingons, helping the Ferengi right now. Don't get along well with the Federation or Cardassians.
Cardassians- New democracy still finding its way and learning to act like one. Allies of the Federation and Ferengi.
Ferengi- Allies of all sorts of people. A total political mess at this point.
Gorn/Tholians- A combined power of the two former powers. They are true neutrals at this point for the most part.
Klingons- Federation allies but that is strained as noted above. Breen allies but no one is sure which side they are really on in the whole Breen/Federation pissing match.
Romulans- Neutrals as well, but despised by the Klingons (already one war) and not really liked by anyone.

They were chased out of the DQ by the Borg and ran for a wormhole that is in the lower right portion of the map. They asked to be refugees and took the best offer.
