The improved low-altitude radar wouldn't help you "see" through anything per se, but would certainly help acquire and track such a target.

The human body is less dense then the tree. It wouldn't be able to track through it. This is where TEST FIRING you cannon helps.

 Seriously though, best to fire that thing as little as possible. The cannon on the AH-64 is notorious for jamming.

Only under extended fire when the bolt heats up. Short bursts shouldn't prove a problem. But, if you would rather, we could just open fire with a rocket pod.

Or they could just use the Kiowa that scouts for them to open up with the .50cal. Apaches are expensive, if those infantry are carrying MANPADS it's better to sacrifice the Kiowa.

What are we saying? It's the US military they never waste a round when they could use a missile.

Deep, are you going soft on us? I would have expected you to recommend sixteen Hellfires as the minimum response to a tree getting in the way.

I like trees, people are expenable. If the guy was inside of a car or out in the open I would call in a B-52 squadron and raze the whole area. But, I like to wake up in the morning and look at the oak trees around my house. I wouldn't want to hurt one unless needed.

So, you like trees, but you're advocating shooting through them with rockets and 30mm cannon fire? :?

No, you shoot through them with bullets but around them with rockets. Most Oaks are strong enough that rounds can go through them but the tree with live on. A rocket blast behind the tree with kill whoever is behind the tree. Both work well.

Remember - to Deep, opening up on something with a 30mm cannon is his idea of going soft on them.

Good point.

For Deep, this is the equivalent of giving them a hug.

If that's a hug to Deep, what's a "love tap", a barrage of FAEs or MOAB bombs? :dinokill: :apc:

Supposedly, we've developed a thermobaric ordnance in the same league as well.
