Well, the pressure ships going under water would need to resist can be analogous to them immersing themselves inside the atmosphere of Gas Giants like Jupiter or Saturn, which we've seen ST ships do...
The truth always depends on which side of the fence you're standing...

The first television spot for ST:ID was just aired here during the Super Bowl. There didn't seem to be a whole lot of new footage, more like a condensed version of that already released.

Thanks, SPH. Darn, might've almost been worth to watch the game.

The only new image was a heavily damaged E falling out of orbit.

Only new thing?
I'd say you weren't paying attention then.
Unless you know already and its actually me who isn't paying attention, which could very well be.

There was some new dialogue at least.
"All this has happened before --"
"But it doesn't have to happen again. Not if we make up our minds to change. Take a different path. Right here, right now."

Indeed.
My point was, I think that new dialogue kind of gave away the villain.

Unless the writers have been extremely cheeky and clever with us.
My other theory is that the villain is someone totally new, but I think that dialogue kind of ruined that idea.

I am not sure how letting people know who the villian is ruins anything...

How so? I assume you're talking about this, in which case all the new dialogue shows is that the villain, whoever he is, has a big ego. That applies to Khan, Mitchell, and about a hundred other previous villains.LaughingCheese wrote:My point was, I think that new dialogue kind of gave away the villain.![]()

An upside down flag usually signals distress.

Interesting that they even have flags....
Kind of a random thing to introduce into a Star Trek movie.
