Why? Because you like the old animation, but not the TOS ep?
Very well, then what about my example of SW OT v. PT?

Am I the only person in history that enjoys all six SW movies?

Not at all. There's me, at least. Again, that's the point that I'm trying to make. The OT's SFX aren't up to modern standards, but I had no problem at all enjoying those films.

The movies were okay... it was some of the actors that sucked.

Right. In terms of SFX, the originals aren't up to snuff. That doesn't mean that the story wasn't well-executed and enjoyable. We can still laugh at the crappy animatronics, but so will folks 30 years from now laugh at what we consider state-of-the-art.
In other words, I agree with Mikey.

The man has a point, even if over stated so many times before.

I liked all 6. I just liked some more than others.

Saying Animation and Acting shows are the same is like saying Rugby and netball are the same since they are both sports.
Animation is not supposed to look real or believeable, RL shows are. Loony toons is not much different to Cartoons nowadays yet TOS looks like a steaming pile of crap.

Yeah, in forum terms, I'm ripping off the Beatles, but the basic concept is too good to ignore.

I'm so glad we are still talking about the gorn!
I do like that for the first time the feds were in the wrong.

But sadly they didnt know they were in the wrong so it isnt as cool as if they were just taking territory.

So you refuse to try and appreciate a show because you'd rather concentrate on the technical production aspects? Then you wouldn't have liked any of the OT films, at least not after seeing the PT.

Are you talking about star wars?

As I have said SW did a good job unlike ST. The aliens they showed were either well done (Chewy and jaba) or only shown in passing like the ones in the bar.

Dude, comparing animation from the 1940's to Ninja Scroll, Ghost In The Shell, or most modern anime is like comparing a black cat firework to a cluster bomb.
