I vote battleship. Better to be vastly superior than your opponents than to maintain parity with them.
Yeah, anyone who disagrees with you is brainwashed. Riiiiight.I'd guess you'll take the brainwashed military fanatic.
Once again, you could learn a lot from Mr. Chaimberlain on this subject. And peace means your friends don't die.
First contact? Definitely a bad idea to run in shooting there. My point was that weapons are only good for one thing, killing, which sends the wrong message when you're making first contact.
It was already decided in the other thread. As was already pointed out to you.So are we actually going to vote on the ship's purpose then?
No. I'm not sure how Canada does it but a large part of training in the US army tends to involve a tad bit of brainwashing.Rochey wrote:Yeah, anyone who disagrees with you is brainwashed. Riiiiight.I'd guess you'll take the brainwashed military fanatic.
It was never voted on though, which is the whole point of this thing is it not?It was already decided in the other thread. As was already pointed out to you.So are we actually going to vote on the ship's purpose then?
And just how would you know this? No. I'm not sure how Canada does it but a large part of training in the US army tends to involve a tad bit of brainwashing.
It was discussed and decided upon while we were deciding its size.It was never voted on though, which is the whole point of this thing is it not?
I was told such by an american soldier, on leave after a tour in Afghanistan I believe. He told a slightly amusing story of an attack on christmas when him and his fellow soldiers were a tad confused by the Christmas music played on the PA.Rochey wrote:And just how would you know this? No. I'm not sure how Canada does it but a large part of training in the US army tends to involve a tad bit of brainwashing.
You of all people should know how politics works. You say one thing to get what you want, then during the next vote you say something else. Besides, a proper vote would get me to stop harping on about it. Besides, if you're so sure, what have you got to lose?It was discussed and decided upon while we were deciding its size.It was never voted on though, which is the whole point of this thing is it not?
There are 30 votes here, two per person is 15 voters, and I certantly didn't see 15 different people posting here. Just because they aren't as vocal doesn't mean their vote shouldn't count.Tsukiyumi wrote:We all seem to have reached a consensus except for you, Blackstar. One vote against the rest of us loses. That's democracy for ya.
Right. And this has what to do with a foreign country with different methods and techniques?I was told such by an american soldier, on leave after a tour in Afghanistan I believe. What part of "it is already decided" do you have trouble understanding? You of all people should know how politics works. If they have a problem with it being a battleship, they would have come forward while you were making such a fuss about it. Since they haven't, and the rest of us have decided on a battleship, we're going with that. There are 30 votes here, two per person is 15 voters, and I certantly didn't see 15 different people posting here. Just because they aren't as vocal doesn't mean their vote shouldn't count.
A gun is a gun is a gun, as my teacher used to say. While the countrys are different there are still common themes.Rochey wrote:Right. I suppose I wouldn't want to risk losing if I were you, although I used to think you had more guts then that. I guess you're all talk then. What part of "it is already decided" do you have trouble understanding? You of all people should know how politics works. Whether or not you like it, it's finished. Now let's get back to the matter of the ship itself.
You will now, of course, provide proof that all other militaries incorporate brainwashing in their training regimes.A gun is a gun is a gun, as my teacher used to say. While the countrys are different there are still common themes.
Yeah, yeah, the Black Knight always triumphs, and all that.I suppose I wouldn't want to risk losing if I were you, although I used to think you had more guts then that. I guess you're all talk then
For that matter, what does it have to do with "brainwashing"?Rochey wrote:Right.
