I thought that 8472 just had a bunch of their ships come together.

YEah, the Behemoth was a fan made ship that I have on BC. It has three of the beams, and it owns everything.

what I want to know is why couldn't the borg just inject the ship with nano-probs turn their bio-tech into borg-tech that can then assimilate all the crew at once.
