Didn't you know in some canon, he wasn't born with his powers? And he constantly has to make sure he doesn't hurt those he loves by losing control?

That just assumes its the photons that power him up. If its just distance than it wouldnt matter. Though he would be a little weaker during might time since that side of the Earth is further away and in winter as the orbit is at an extreme to.

Didn't you know he's a solar battery, not a solar engine? Andit takes a while for him to exhaust his energy?
