You're going back to the ship after shooting the Commander down?
You're either very brave, or very stupid.

Well, technically she fired on a shuttle with a tholian on board, with a tholian enviroment, firing on a fellow member of Starfleet. She had no way to know that the Commander was trying to kill Blackstar.

But it was a Starfleet Shuttle. Wouldn't the Tholians use their own ships?

And Talora stated that she knew it was Rochey.

Tally, didn't tell anyone she knew. And using someone's allied vessel against them is a good stratagy.

Well technically I, a Lt., ordered them to do that.
Your order wouldn't over ride the commander's ;)

It would if they had a choice between the commander or death by Energy cannon.

I'm always in trouble. But since Rochey said, "I relieve you of your rank of lieutenant and of your membership of Starfleet." any trial would be public, creating diplomatic trouble. And even if it wasn't a public trial, I have plenty of friends that would get the information out. I can handle myself, don't you worry. I've been in tougher situations.

Well as long as you can handle yourself...i dont want to sound emotional or anything but i dont think Talora can deal with another friends demise.

Rochey wouldn't have the authority to pernamentlly remove you from Star Fleet, just relieve you from duty.
And if you commit a crime in the military and get discharged for whatever reason, then the crime is discovered you'd still go to a military court since the crime happened when you were in the military.

But should it come to the public's attention what happened the political fallout could be devestating. And I think that other officers would also be in trouble for their actions on this mission. Monroe, shot a fellow crewman, Rochey ordered the equivilent of death for a child, and then risked the mission on day 2 by taking the child to the officials, which would've been traced back to a Starfleet officer due to the application and blow the whole covert mission.

I think there are many aspects of the mission that can be swept under the carpet. And I still have an ace or two up my sleeve.
