Hey, I just thought of something. If this health care reform goes through, you'll be able to get your knees fixed, right?
Doubtful. Besides, ACL surgeries only have a 30% success rate anyways, and I'd be off my feet for at least 6 weeks with no one to take care of me. Not a good situation.

BTW, to the forum, Uzume won't be back on here for a while. She moved back to Plantersville with her fiancee.

Mikey wrote:Well, I soon won't be walking OR driving to work. I found out yesterday that Saturday will be the last day of operation for our sales department. The staff has been offered positions at other stores in the company... the nearest of which is a 50-minute-commute each way. Even if I don't go "on the dole," the cost of commuting plus the cost of child care will just about wash with what has become of auto sales compensation. Long gone are the days when it was relatively common to make a $1000+ commission at least once a week.

So, looks like I'll be Michael Keaton for a while.

Damn Mikey, sorry to hear that. Just remember, hand dryers in the mens room are a bad idea for a wet tush :poke:

Well, one girl that I talk to all the time now tells me her dad works at a computer store, and I need a laptop for college, and she can get one for cheapert than normal... Let's just say I like owe her something big... (Shush Mark and Tsu) and I hope she can get it done, I would be extatic... :D

Ecstatic.

And this once again just goes to show: It's not what you know, but who ;-)

*ahem* You didn't say shush to me...

Hopefully you're equipped to provide adequate compensation.

See? I took it easy on the kid.

Anyway... yeah, the job sitch does kind of suck... but kind of not. Like I said, the days of being able to rely on at least one $1000 commission (and a couple of $400 - $600 ones) each week are long gone. The way it has been lately, I could stay home and make nothing, and still almost wash when figuring the removal of child-care costs and commuting from my life. When my daughter was an infant, I was rarely home in time to even see her before she went to bed. I won't have that issue now with my son.

In addition, my wife's master's degree program was due to be complete after next semester, but one of her classes is only to be offered on Saturdays. Now, she can complete her degree on time (because I'll be home Saturdays.) The whole thing was a shock - mainly because the ownership had been blowing smoke up our asses about shopping for a new franchise - but in reality it's really more of a gift.

Get your mind out of the gutter young man.

She was my first real relationship, and the one I made all my mistakes with. We were together five years.

In Iowa it's a 4-year allowance for 14/15 IIRC and Age of Consent is 16
