A good point, Tsuki.

Hey, I just thought of something. If this health care reform goes through, you'll be able to get your knees fixed, right?

Doubtful. Besides, ACL surgeries only have a 30% success rate anyways, and I'd be off my feet for at least 6 weeks with no one to take care of me. Not a good situation.
BTW, to the forum, Uzume won't be back on here for a while. She moved back to Plantersville with her fiancee.

I spend all day walking so my home time is my lazy time.

Why do people apologize to me when they tell me my kids look just like their mother? First of all, I like the way the woman looks, it's not really bothering me. Second, at least they look like one of us. Now if they didn't look like either of us...

I walk to school and back which is about 20 minutes either way. I dont mind walking but I will get the bus if I can help it. Walking = outdoor temperatures = not good, especially this time of year.

Ditto, though mine's a 45 minute walk. Hence why investing in a good raincoat is an excellent idea during winter.

Doesnt help that I walk at around half 7 in then morning which is usually freezing. I live right on the outskirts of the Bridgemary Neighbourhood, and I have to wind through the confusing maze of roads and terraces to get to BCSC itself. I walk early to avoid the torment of the chavvy families and kids going to and fro. Bridgemary is second roughest neighbourhood in my area, so I like to avoid the troubles. Luckily, once I reach Beauchamp avenue, I'm pretty much alright cause there's always a Hampshire Constabulary panda car having a wonder down the road, and when i reach Wich way I'm pretty much in the clear. Its just winding through the terraces to get to Beauchamp avenue thats the dangerous part.

I usually leave at around 7:30 myself.

Yes
For her sake, I'm very grateful my daughter looks like the Mrs rather than me!

Walking? Too much like excercise.
Tyyr - when people tell me that one or the other of my kids look like me,
I apologize. If someone is really annoying me, I tell them, "No, the kids look like their biological father."

I walk to and from work everyday, through rain, sleet, snow, and even under the
sun in summer (now that's tough...
) ...
This means about 35 minutes in summer, 45 minutes in winter (I go through unplowed alleys a lot).
I live in Quebec city, so that means an average snowfall of about 9 to 12 feet of snow annually, which means my legs grow exponentially every winter wading through the snow...

Well, I soon won't be walking OR driving to work. I found out yesterday that Saturday will be the last day of operation for our sales department. The staff has been offered positions at other stores in the company... the nearest of which is a 50-minute-commute each way. Even if I don't go "on the dole," the cost of commuting plus the cost of child care will just about wash with what has become of auto sales compensation. Long gone are the days when it was relatively common to make a $1000+ commission at least once a week.
So, looks like I'll be Michael Keaton for a while.
