After the better part of a week with at least one TVTropes tab open in my browser I've pulled myself out of that quagmire.

We're down to one car at present, that means poor Nick has to walk home in the pouring rain and his mom and Bob have to find a ride.

She makes it sound a lot worse than it is. The car won't turn on in the morning, and not right now either, It's almost 2 in the afternoon.
Anyways, I walk home every day, as does bob, and my mom can find a ride no problem... So it's not too big of a deal...
But still, very annoying.

I usually walk to campus (about 25-30 mins) and back, except when my father is available to take me to or fro. When I get out of class very late, it's usually been a ride from dad home -- and that's happened quite a lot as the engineering dept here schedules many of its classes late in the evening. It's pretty bad this semester, as I get out at 10 pm Mon and Wed from class.Nickswitz wrote:Royal_Foxx wrote:We're down to one car at present, that means poor Nick has to walk home in the pouring rain and his mom and Bob have to find a ride.

But, it's a walk in the rain for me today, as well!

Eh, mine is a 45 minute walk, but the rain wasn't that bad. I guess you just get used to it...

I have my own car...I don't have to walk
of course I live on the other side of town from my high school so my walk would be about an hour/hour and a half

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Which, I assume, is why you're now sat on your arse in front of a computer.

Heh......just walking to and from the fridge results in MY ass plopping in front of the computer to rest. 8)

With you all the way, the reason I walk pretty much everywhere, I could get someone to drive me if I really wanted to, except that when I walk I usually do it specifically to be with nature. So I guess I couldn't then. Haha, but yes, I love walking, which is one of the reasons I did today...Deepcrush wrote:Walking is good for you.

Track practices totally absolved me of any issues I had dealing with the rain...Nickswitz wrote:Captain Picard's Hair wrote:I usually walk to campus (about 25-30 mins) and back, except when my father is available to take me to or fro. I had to walk to work from June of 1997 to August of '98. 45 minutes one way. Did I mention in December NH had some bad ice storms where I could almost literally see icicles forming while I walked by branches?

You guys should stop complaining. At least you can walk to work.
