Well, today was fun.

Lifeguarding was difficult, people being deadweight, are not fun to lift out of the water... plus it was all guys in there today...

The debates today were fun, it was on gay marriage, and whether or not it should be allowed, and wow. The Pro side did well, and the Anti side did horribly. They tried to say that gay marriage would be bad because it would mean more money would have to go into social security, true, yes, but that would apply regardless of anything, and then they said that it would degregate American morals. :laughroll: I didn't know that they could get worse, and they just chose the wrong points to pick out. I mean, I personally, don't care, I think Ian's suggestion would work. He stated it some time ago in another thread, but I can't find it...

Basically, have the rights part of it government based, and the actual licenses done religiously... that would work out fine with me...

And my day is now amazing, my second favorite artist, onerepublic released their single for the new album. It's amazing, and I can't wait til the new album is released... Today is good.

You're coming to the States?

Where to?

He could always try Hawaii. You know, sandy beaches, lovely ocean views, the solitude of an island..............oh, wait

Aerosmyth is coming to Hawaii. One concert on Oahu (where I'm at), and one on Maui. BOTH were completely sold out within hours.

Guess I'll have to deal with a scalper.

Has anyone been getting anything odd from Reliant besides Staplic and I, I believe he was hacked by a bot or something...

Don't open any attachments to the message from MSN, it's probably a virus...

Yes, my msn account has been infected by a virus. Its not a damaging one to files apart from msn, it just sends links to people who they open, and then they get the virus and it goes on and on.

s**t, that sucks. I'm not too familiar with the UK education system so how important are the GCSEs, really?

Also, if they are important, is it possible to get grinds?
For the purposes of going to work, virtually worthless. However, they are entirely necessary for college and maths is required for quite a few A level courses. I need 5 A-C grade GCSE's to even get looked at by college.

Ah, right. This is to get into second-level education, yes? Well, my suggestion would be to just try and relax and to remember that it's not the end of the world if you don't do briliantly.

Yeah, thats my intention. I'm trying to keep my head clear of it all, I believe I can take a resit afterward if necessary.

I'm very much enjoying the opportunity to use my dad's phone for a day, which is where I an currently posting from :) I've never used an android phone before and it's so radically different to symbian phones that I'm used to

Friday's debate was on the death penalty, not really sure what about it, it wasn't about constitutionality of it but more about the general idea of it. But in general it was a good debate, both sides had good points, and both had equally bad points, but the Con side didn't finish, as class ended, Our group will probably be up tomorrow, which our group is US involvement in world affairs - pro. I genuinely think that we will win, just because the other group has very little confidence in their arguments, which IMO makes it very hard to win if you don't really believe in yourself as a group...

I actually am unsure as to what winning or losing one of these debates is... It's kind of an opinion rather than anything else, so I guess it's whatever the teacher decides, it doesn't affect our grade so I don't really care, but I know where our teacher stands on everything, as I've known him for about 4 years now, first year I had him though. And basically he's extremely conservative, and very sexist. He basically believes, and actively shows, that women should be seen not heard, and should pump out babies not a whole lot else, but it's fun to argue with him about...
