"I'd guess we would... human survivors, at any rate. Someone will certainly want to try and find out how far-ranging this Slaugth incursion is, as well as who was involved on this world - and how they were involved."

1121 Day Three:

"Survivors and prisoners are a secondary objective," Ferringo clears his throat. "If there is anyone left alive after the Cathedral is cleared then we will certainly be taking them in for questioning. Perhaps we can try and take the Bishop unharmed, or at least leave him able to speak."

"So avoid head and body shots," Phebia frowned. "For the moment." She looked down at the map for a moment pondering the situation. "Do we know how these constructs perceive the world? Would any particular obscurant work more effectively against them?"

Enrick pointed to the dome edge above the alter. "I will be here. Anyone out of sight or reach for the breaching team will be in sight for me. They will suffer death from in front, above and behind."

Phebia frowned. "And any ricochet's will bounce toward the door breach team." She pointed to the ledge about thirty degrees around the dome off to either side of the altar. "Taking up position here should give you almost the same coverage but avoid sending stray stubber rounds my way."

1122 Day Three:

Ferringo shakes his head, "I'm afraid not."

"I don't think we have many options in any event in the way of smoke," Trask commented. "As to positioning - I tend to work better up close. I'm sure the Sister here will be worried for me, but I think I'd better get in on the ground floor." Milo looked up with a smirk.

"So long as you refrain from standing between me and the xenos you have little to fear," Phebia replied dead pan.

"Funny. I was thinking the same thing."

Haxta listened to the planning, though she kept quiet through it. There wasn't really anything she felt she could contribute to the discussion, not with so many who knew the art of war far better then herself. So she listened, took note of what was expected of her, and spent her time running practice set ups with her demolitions, glancing up from time to to time to keep up with the conversation.

Enrick frowned at Phebia. "Short of me aiming at you, that won't be a problem. Plus I want to be in place to drop in as quick as I can. If it comes to that, I'm going for behind the alter and not out in the open."

"And if you drop behind the altar you will be dropping right into my line of fire. If you don't mind standing in the middle of where I'll be slinging bolts by all means go for it. Moving slightly to one side of the dome or other will keep us out of each other's lines of fire with minimal effect on how much we can cover. You don't stand on either side of someone and shoot at them, not unless you're eager to kill each other and them."

1124, Day Three - "I'm no professional soldier like you two," Trask said to the bickering guardsman and Sister of Battle, "but wouldn't it make sense to advance along the side walls - you know, expose ourselves on as few sides as possible?"

"Well first we have to get to the side walls, and this isn't a very large structure one way or another. We don't know what's going to happen once we get in. I'd prefer to be prepared should our desired line of advance not quite work out."

"I should be able to conceal my own advance," Trask said quietly, "but we'll need to make sure that we can cover each other without doubling up our routes toward the targets." He thought for a moment, then said, "Hopefully, Marco can get an auspex reading of the interior while Haxta plants the breaching charges, but what then? I don't think either of them is too eager to mix it up toe-to-toe. Perhaps they could follow a few meters behind us and cover our approaches?"

Milo turned to Karibi. "Are you equipped for such a task?"
