The longer I look at them, the uglier they get.

This is what you get when you weld parts of three ships together just to save some time and a few (hundred) bucks.

So what would YOU do in that situation, thread readers? Your enemy has better weapons, better shields, is faster, more agile. If you go to warp he'll detect it and chase you down in minutes, so you can't run. Without resorting to technobabble, what could you do to win?
Rig an EM Pulse like I did in the
Daystrom RP and hope it doesn't cause things to shut down on
my ship as well (you never know w/ those crates) and hope it gives my weapons a spitting chance against there hull, or enough time to retreat and call for reinforcements.
Sound good?

The real probelm is that they used other models as well. Not to mention the inherent size problems.

For me, the only DS9 kitbash that is bearable is definitely the Centaur

I'm still not convinced that the Centaur belongs in the "Frankenstein fleet." Its parts seem to match fairly well.

I thought so, but they touted it as a Frankenstein.

The Centaur always LOOKED to me like a frigate to the Excelsior class.

I, personaly, never regarded the Centaur as a member of the Frankenstein Fleet.

Ex astris scientia classes the Centaur as a Frankenstein

I suppose it's technically a Frankenstein since it's a kitbash, and there's a big question mark over where the warp core is, but it's a graceful ship, unlike the "true" Frankensteins - the uglies.

And it seemed to stand up to a bug.

True. Her Captain seemed quite confident in his ship, that it COULD handle that bug alone.

Sisko seemed to disable the Centaur pretty easilly, even only targeting her weapons.
