You underestimate the power of the Plot Device.Yet, he squares off against Shran - a member of a physically superior, warrior race - in a duel fought with weapons which were native to Shran and completely unfamiliar to Archer and yet all of a sudden becomes skilled enought to subdue Shran. WTF?
