Would anyone oppose bring in M4s to replace phasers?
Rapid fire, won't fail to hit a planet even if aimed. You know, the useful things in war.

I would choose a different rifle and add in a few other firearms but I have no objection to the principle.

Sometimes it's better to bring a person in alive, like to clear your name, or for political reason like bringing someone to justice rather then turn them into a martyr

The trick to war is to make the other guy die for his country. Justice and martyrs work sometimes but not very often. A cause needs something to lead it and martyrs need to live and die in a fashion that will make them remembered. A bullet through the leg isn't really that fashion.

As far as cattleprods, didn't the ENT MACO's have them?
