Lucky you.Captain Picard's Hair wrote:(and I'm not Tsuki)
Don't be so hasty - I've met Avery Brooks a couple of times, and he's a strapping, striking-looking man.Reliant121 wrote:(As a captain! i know what you were thinking =.=)
he's alot older than me.Mikey wrote:Don't be so hasty - I've met Avery Brooks a couple of times, and he's a strapping, striking-looking man.Reliant121 wrote:(As a captain! i know what you were thinking =.=)
Yes, I am confident enough in my heterosexuality to say that without getting the heebie-jeebies.
Kirk did not lead every landing party. The Galileo Seven is one example of this, as is Shore Leave, The Return of the Archons, and Catspaw. And his leading landing parties was not unique. If you watch eps like The Cage/Menagerie and The Omega Glory we see other starship captains heading away teams. Apparently it is SOP before Picard's time, that period of 'Trek history where only Real Men could command star ships.Teaos wrote:He's annoying and in your face, I prefer a more laid back captain, one that doesnt need to go down on every away mission to prove what a big man he is.
More annoying than that Hepburn reject Janeway? More annoying than Furrow McFurrowbrow, aka Archer? More annoying than I-can-do-anything Sisko (Diplomat, Engineer, strategist)? I think not. When Kirk got into ship-to-ship battles he did not technobabble his way out of it (see Balance of Terror, The Deadly Years, Elaan of Trois, The Doomsday Machine and Journey to Babel to see what I mean), and when it came to fist fights he usually won.Reliant121 wrote:Far rather be with sisko (As a captain! i know what you were thinking =.=)
Kirk was the most annoying b*stard i've ever seen on television.
You don't fool me. I can read between the lines. When you sayReliant121 wrote:Kirk is still amazingly annoying.
