Mir started to grin at the phrase, 'something to do with you,' but just as quickly lost it. "If you think its a waste you obviously ain't got it right but fine. I'll keep it to myself but uh...," he held up his arm where a bruise was just starting to form from Diona's treatment. "If one of your girls decides to have her wicked way with me I don't think there's much I could do."

Venus rolled her eyes, but with a slight smile. "You fought off a choas marine didn't you? I'm sure a resourceful fellow like you can manage." The smile faded as she shrugged into the last of her armor. "Speaking of which, I'm afraid I must confenscate the chain sword. It's too tainted for me to allow you to keep. I'll see to getting you a replacement."

Mir started to protest but sucked it down. "Fine, so long as it's replaced. I had to dig through his guts to get it. I earned that damn thing."

"I can't argue that point," Venus said as she reached behind her desk and came up with a slender power sword and a plasma pistol. "And it is good that you brought it along, we might be able to save the weapon from the taint, but it would be a poor reward for you if, by carrying the thing, you became like the creature you won it from."
Belting her weapons on, she pushed out the door, and snagged a Sister who was passing by. "Cyrine, see to our guest," Venus instructed. "See that he's fed, and then take him to the armory. Joss is working on his weapon, see that he gets some ammo for it. I'm also granting him honorary Novice clearance to the armory."
"As you wish Celestian," Cyrine bowed. The Sister was of average height and build, her skin lightly browned with angular eyes and darkest black hair.
Venus for her part gave no more mind to either of them, but took off down the hall towards the front of the building.

"So, I guess she's busy," Mir said as Venus left. He looked around the office for a moment, glancing one last time at the chainsword on the table. "So, what have you got for food around here?"

"Busy doesn't come close to it," Cyrine said, soft and low. "And nothing special at the moment I'm afraid, but it's hot and filling, what more could one ask for under these conditions?"
She ushered Mir out of the office and around the bend in the hall. A short series of hallways brought them to the mess, which had been an actual kitchen for the building. A couple novices were busy in the back, and the large dinning area seemed even larger as the few Sisters present were all crowded into two tables near the doors.

Mir took a look around the small mess and headed for the kitchen. "In this situation I'll settle for not tasting like cardboard. So, how long have ya'll been here?"

"A little over 36 hours now," Cyrine answered. The novices working the kitchen looked surprised at Mir, but the Sister's presence kept them at work, though they did eye him curiously without trying to look like they were doing any such thing. Mir and Cyrine were quickly provided with trays of some generic meat slab and a vegetible mixture. It did not look particularly appitising, but it smelled good, or at least eddible.

Mir nodded and fished his chrono out of his pocket. "Only eight for me." He took the tray gratefully and looked for a place to sit. "The Celestian mentioned that you all woke up in a lighter. I don't suppose it still works?"

"I would severly doubt it," Cyrine said. "It was not in good shape when we woke, and I don't imagine a day and half in the care of orks will have done much for it." She promptly sat at the table nearest the kitchen, a good deal from the other two occupied tables.

Mir sat down with her and began to enthusiastically eat his meal. "Instructors always said, 'Never turn down a meal because you never know when you'll get your next one.'" He frowned after that. "I don't know why I remember that. I don't remember anything else before I got here. I know you guys are Sororitas, I know orks shouldn't be chatting up Space Marines, and I know you don't find mesh armor hanging into hotel room closets. Why I know any of that I have no clue. It's like I have all this information in my head but I just sprang into existence eight hours ago." He took another bite and chewed it slowly. "I don't suppose you girls remember anything, or you've learned anything about this mad house?"

Lot's luck and grace finally run dry in her close quarters gun and knife fight. Even as she switches out for her sword, one of the men manages to score a mark, his blade cutting a shallow but long gash across her ribs.

Cyrine shook her head. "None of us recall anything before the lighter. We know who we in a general sense, but that's it." She paused in her meal. "Venus says it would take a powerful pysker or warp sorcerer to have done such a thorough and neat job, especially on so many of us."

Mir was luckily taking a drink and had most of his face concealed when Cyrine mentioned a psyker or sorcerer. 'I'm trying to pry one out of the other's body.' Not for the first time he wondered why in the hell he hadn't run as far and fast from Solaria as he could the instant she'd told him about her and her hitchhiker. "That's a frightening thought. Would you even be able to tell such a person at first glance? Could it be done through some technology? The voice that, instructed me, I guess you could say, sounded rather mechanical."

Cyrine shrugged. "I havent the faintest idea. Venus says someone who can work the warp is needed, but given the circumstances...as for recognizing such a person, Venus can do that. She has certain gifts in that area." She regarded Mir a moment. "So, shall I call you crazy, or do you want to explain what you mean by 'the voice'?"
