"Hrmm?" Trask looked up from the sword. "Oh... yes, it is, but I'm not worried about that." Milo paused to clear his throat. "I'm a psyker. That's what I do, how I serve. How would you feel if you had to fight an enemy that you knew to be immune to your weapons?"

Enrick leaned in and whispered. "You are a psyker, a servant of the Emperor. But that isn't your weapon. You're weapon is your body and soul. You are gifted in that you can carry judgement in both your hands..." Enrick balled his fists, then pointed to Trask's skull. "...and in your head. If you can't see them, fry their minds. If you can't fry his mind, shoot him!" Enrick stood up and pointed his thumb to his great sword. "Besides, worse comes to worse. I just start cutting! Stick close to me and I'll keep you covered, and you keep anyone from getting up behind me."

Milo gave a small, lopsided grin. "Thanks, von Hyden. I appreciate it. However, I think I want my own chance to sink this pig-sticker into the guts of that... abomination that we're after." Milo winked, and then said, "Speaking of which..." He walked over to where Karibi had been laying out some kit and said, "Excuse me, adept. Perhaps you can help me. The inscriptions on this sword indicate that it belonged to one Inquisitor Ulrichus Kuestermann. If I recall correctly, the sword emerged from the warp about a century ago... but I know little of this Kuestermann. Have you any information?"

Phebia returned to the Valkyrie and sat down near Haxta. Situating her new carbine in easy reach she used her pack for a pillow and laid down. "When you're done with whatever it is you're doing wake me up," Phebia said. She closed her eyes and tried to get some rest.

Enrick smacked Trask on the back. "Thats the spirit!"

8:19 Day 3

Karibi put down the Auspex he had recently aquired, frowning slightly. "Kuestermann?" He paused for a moment, then spoke quietly.

"Yes, I've heard a bit about him, as a matter of fact. Officialy, Inquisitor Ulrichus Kuestermann died in a failed warp jump four centuries ago. The truth however, is quite a bit different. For years before his death, people had been saying that he had gone far beyond even the most radical position sactioned by the Inquisition. There are rumours that he consorted with creatures of the Warp, and used them to further his work." Karibi stopped briefly, looking around to ensure no one else was listening in.

"Needless to say, the Inquisition wasn't too pleased with this. They attacked his ship and boarded it with a cadre of the Sisters of Battle and Ordo Hereticus Stormtroopers. Exactly what happened next is unclear, but what we do know is that at some point during the fighting the vessel's warp engines misfired. Most believe it to have been the work of one of Kuestermann's own retinue. The ship and all aboard were drawn into the Warp, and were never seen again."

Trask listened quietly to Karibi's explanation. "Really?" he said distractedly, "That's just... well... hmm. Perhaps his ship became part of the hulk from which this was recovered." Milo fell silent for a moment as he traced with his finger the serpentine pattern of the psi-matrix in the blade. He concentrated briefly, reaching out to the sword with his mind, and pale blue arcs of energy sizzled along the edge of the blade. "Well," he said at last, looking up, "I think it's high time we redeemed this sword's reputation and put it to honest service to the Golden Throne. Perhaps a new name is in order..." Milo paused a moment, stole a quick glance over at Interrogaotr Ferringo, and said, "I can't think of anything more fitting than Ultor. Here's hoping I can christen it in xeno blood."

Slamming the action on the heavy stubber, Enrick swung about to face the room. His greatcoat flapping partially open and exposing the small arsenal underneath. Enrick's hands held the large weapon with ease, much like a small rifle for any normal man. "Well ladies and gentlemen. What say we start this shindig!"

With a grateful sigh, Haxta stretched her arms up over her head, a rolling series of pops and cracks issuing from her neck and shoulders. Intrigrating the micro-bead into her cranial circuits had been a straight hour's work without pause, with her arms held up in the arm the entire time. Then converting her respirator to accept the gas mask's components, while not as difficult had still eaten up a good deal of time. Compared to either of those tasks, attaching scopes to Phebia's and Lot's weapons had been easy, but still, it had been two more tasks.

Setting the bolter down by Phebia quietly so as not to wake her, Haxta then returned Lot's weapon to it's owner, before making her way back to the quartermaster for something she had thought of during her work. While their rides would be bringing along a good deal of HE, having a few explosives right on hand might not be a bad idea.

1120 Day Three:

As Haxta finishes drawing her explosives from the Quartermaster Ferringo returns to the group clutching a map. He squats down and gestures for everyone to gather around before he launches into his agenda.

"Here is a rough map of what we believe the cathedral interior to look like. The current plan is for the mortar teams to shell the town and hit the dome of the cathedral just before we drop. The assassins would be best placed at the hole in the dome where they can fire inside, same with the stubber. The rest of us can either breach the walls with demo charges or the door. Gas masks and beads should be worn throughout the assault."

"I intended us to go in at last light but I see no reason not to go now. Any questions?"

Phebia yawned as she swung her legs out of the Valkyrie and stood up. Walking over to Ferringo she looked down at the map. "Yes, several. What kind of resistance are we expecting at the Cathedral, this Overseer and anything else? Do we expect any resistance from the town itself? Have the locals fallen under this thing's sway?"

1120 Day Three:

"I expect an Overseer and the Bishop to be present, probably with 4-6 guards. Likely the Constructs you faced earlier. I don't expect much in the way of resistance from the town, the Stormtroopers will be handling them at any rate. We can post Nurk at the breach to hold any back, if they have fallen under the sway of this thing. Personally I suspect that the Bishop is handling any interaction between the Slaught and the locals."

1120 Day 3

"So as long as we prevent the Bishop from getting in contact with the locals we shouldn't have any issue with them." Phebia looked over the map. "These offices concern me. There's no telling what the heretic or xenos might have stashed away in here, he might even have a bolt hole. Ensuring that no one runs to them should be high priority. I don't relish the thought of trying to clear a room that might have those constructs inside."

"Agreed," Trask replied to Phebia, "though we can cover those rooms easily enough from the cover of the pews. I'd say we clear those rooms once we've secured the nave and altar area."

"Will we be looking for survivors?" Phebia asked. "For interrogation? If not I'd like Haxta to cover those doors with her launcher. Should anyone try to enter or leave hit them with a grenade."
