Enrick gave Phebia a thumbs up. "Why thank you little lady." Setting the weapon down, Enrick started laying out his kit and pack. "Gotta love a stock option..." Enrick started laughing. "...even more son on the house."

Enrick tilted his head at Milo. "And what attitude is that? Are you trying to say something about my character!?" Looking serious at first, before losing it and breaking a wide smile across his face.

Haxta paused, her mouth open to reply, as Enrick made his way over. For a brief second she looked annoyed at his intruption, but her features quickly turned politely neutral.

"I agree with Milo," she said, strapping her respirator back over her face. "It is certainly a weapon to match your attitude, large, loud, and unsubtle." She laid a hand on Phebia's shoulder, giving her a friendly squeeze before standing. "Would you like a blessing for your new companion?" Without waiting for an answer, Haxta waved a hand over the stubber, chanting a few lines, before withdrawing further into the valkry.

Finding a seat, she proceeds to pull her hood off completely, her nearly white blonde hair spilling free over her shoulders. With practiced ease she parts and pins her hair aside to reveal the metal plates and circuitry beneath, and then draws out the micro bead she had acquired. Cracking the shell of the device, she begins to intrigrate the tiny comm into her cranial hardware with the aid of a mirror from her rucksack.

Enrick continued laughing. Just now his attention turned to Haxta. "HEY! I'm very subtle!"

Haxta rolled her eyes at Enrick, though not in an unfriendly manner. "As much so as a stampede of grox, I'm sure."

As Haxta began to work on her own cranium Phebia got up and wandered back to the quartermaster. "Do you have a sight for this?" she asked holding up her carbine. He nodded and handed her a case. Phebia opened it and smiled at the brand new telescopic sight inside. "Bless you," she said and she hurried back to the Valkyrie where Haxta was. Spotting Enrick she flagged him down. "Can you fit this?" she held up the sight, "To this?" she indicated her carbine.

Stomping in a joking manner. Enrick beat on his chest, thumping his fists against his plated armor. Laughing and jumping around. "Growl! HAHAHAHAHA!"

Still laughing, Enrick walked over to Phebia and took up the sight and carbine. "Yeah, a piece of folded steel and a pin should be just fine. Thinking I might like the same on my weapons as well. Though, depending on how much time we have here. You may want to check with the Weapons Master first. I can do it, but it won't be pretty."

"Yeah, I think I'll let the priestess handle it when Haxta's...." Phebia glanced over at the tech priestess, "...um, done."

"Give me an hour or so," Haxta said distractedly, sliding a small panel aside to get at the wires beneath.

Enrick handed back the carbine and returned to his kit. Laying out his new equipment. Looking over his gear. Enrick began attaching everything he could to his vest. "Its about damn time we get a serious fight on our hands. I've been getting bored."

"Well its your own fault for sleeping through the last one," Phebia said.

"That wasn't a fight, that was just a practice shoot." Flexing his hands, Enrick grinned. "This promises to be some proper fun!"

Trask watched the banter between the guardsman and the two women from where he sat by the hull of the Valkyrie and smiled slightly. He felt better by a surprising amount after his conversation with the young Sister Famulous, but was still too uneasy about facing a blank - an exceptionally tough, xeno blank at that - to join too much in their banter. Instead, he spent a few minutes murmuring holy litanies and and attending his gear. He fitted his gas mask to sit right with his helmet, checked the laser sight and retractable saw-edged bayonet of his new shotgun, and finally drew his new sword and began to study it. He checked it for any traces that would indicate a name or a history, and reflected that if such a relic were made available to him, chances were that the Inquisition had a pretty good idea that he'd need it.

Pahr was pleasantly surprised when the quartermaster returned with all of the items he'd listed on his data-slate, including a mesh vest he'd included somewhat in jest. Lot was nearby, sliding into her new Synskin. It had also been a surprise; neither of them had expected to find much of quality way out here on this backwater rock.

She noticed Pahr watching her, "Like it? Fits like a glove," she grinned, punching his shoulder. He shook his head in mock frustration and smiled his thin smile.

He leaned in close and whispered, "I will see about getting that sight attached to your rifle."

She handed over the rifle and telescopic sight, lightly kissing him on the forehead, "We've got time, I think."

"Never enough," he whispered back.

Enrick knelt by Trask and punched him in the chest. "Hey. Why so glum little man? Is this your first combat drop?"
