My 8th grade class picture had me glaring at a guy who picked a fight with me, and him glaring back with his black eye and dislocated jaw.

I'll find it, and try to get a good picture of it.
I'm not sure a panoramic picture will fit in a printer/scanner.

I'm glad your parents are technologically savvy.
Really, I am. Most people's parents seem to be behind the tech of the times(fortunately not mine).
So how did Samsung go from phones to artificial intelligence?
Oh, you don't mean an Android like Data from Trek

Is Android a new phone they made? (Unfortunately I'm the one not up-to-date on tech)

Android is an operating system, like windows mobile and Symbian. it is built by google. Only Android is designed to be almost completely customizable. its the new greatest thing. Currently only T-Mobile, HTC and Google themselves make them.
