Rochey - set him up with some of Nick's friends, and see if he's a potential donor.

Anyway, good to hear about how things went, Reliant - a good relationship with your man's fam is just one less stressor for you guys.

Kendall - nice. Now, just make sure that when she's a teenager, her dates all know what kind of shot she is...

Even better.

"Dad, I'm ready to go now. Don't wait up."

"OK, honey. Are you taking the .38 or the little .25?"

Even better. I've already told my wife that anytime my daughter brings a boyfriend by to visit I'll be cleaning my guns, all of them.

 I'm pretty laid back and easy going. I don't have a problem with things happening provided she's not raped and she's careful.
Even better.

I doubt there will ever be anything lower then .45 in the house. We'll cut down a 10 gauge blunderbuss for her.

Say what you will about the movie but in Face Off I absolutely love the scene with Travolta and the Daughter where his idea of "protection" is a switchblade, not a condom, and his advice is to stab, twist, and remove so the wound won't close. Now admittedly I'd hand her a gun in addition to the knife but it was my kind of fatherly moment right there.

When I first met the man who would become my father-in-law, he mentioned his guns, but didn't exhibit any of them. He made sure, though to tell me the story about the first man he ever killed in the service... and how he was on embassy duty at the time, and had to do it without the use of a firearm...

 My father in law is such a spineless coward that I could probably push him over with a fan.

My wife's uncle made mention of being able to drive a tank and screw with my pension, cause he used to be an Air Force clerk. I just laughed and him and mentioned that only guys who couldn't cut it in a real trade became clerks. I now call him "Super Clerk" to his face.

How does being ain Air Force clerk enable one to drive a tank? :?

When my father-in-law told me he could drive a tank, I figured it was because he used to be a jarhead tanker.

That's the point I'm trying to make: he's a jackass, a lier and a moron for thinking he could get away with that story.

There's the problem I have with my father-outlaw; he's pretty much an evil jackass... but when he tells me about who he killed and how, or who he sent to the emergency room over the course of a barfight, etc. - I can take it as a pretty safe bet that it's true.
