Is that box I was playing with earlier light enough to carry?

Can I use the chainsword as a tool, not a weapon, to cut the lock off?

Good question. I don't see any rules for it anywhere, and nothing in the las descriptions suggests they have power settings to fiddle with. So I think it would take a tech use test to pop the thing open and screw with the insides to get that result.

Well I lack Tech Use, so that's a bust. I'll be leaving the lasgun for someone else then.

Two people could move it, but it is bolted to the floor.

Aye, I see no reason to make you test to bring a blade to a completely stationary target. It's not like you need to swing the chainsword, just lay it against the lock.

Can't stand them actually. I mean I know the packs can be recharged but that doesn't make up for the lack of auto, besides my dude hauling around a hand cannon, autogun, shotgun and a lasgun is ridiculous. I may even leave the shotgun, spiked of course.

It is kind of weird that none of them have an auto setting. Still, they hold a good bit of ammo, and all you need is an outlet to get more. I'm surprised you're thinking of leaving the shotty.

Yeah so am I, I love them. I'm looking at my inventory to see what I can ditch. Probably the spade.

Right, well I shall unlock the door and stand to the side. It can receive a hand cannon blast to it's mechanical melon.

Oy. That's a nice drop.

Okay, so I'm going to make a leap over the fire. since I don't think I have the 4 meters for a running leap, I take a -10 penalty to my Strength for the test.

Str: 41-10=31

roll... 12

So, my strength bonus equals the number of meters covered (4), plus 50 cm for one degree of success.

Do I clear it?

If so, I'll take an Awareness test immediately.

Per: 33

roll... 9

Do I see anything (besides the destruction from the saurian, of course)?

Actually, you see no such thing. Remember, Tyyr is about a half hour ahead of you at this point. On his time line it's dead, on yours it isn't yet. You see it go stomping away on down the street, bellowing in pain. You also see hordes of the undead starting to pour out onto the streets, drawn by the racket.
