Today I, along with the rest of the family went to the air and space museum in NYC... It was awesome, loved every bit of it, especially the planes, :Drool2:

I got one of THOSE phone calls this morning around 6 am.

When I first got clean and sober, I checked myself into a rehab center. They had a live in resident manager named Eddie Marshall. Once upon a time was a REAL bad dude. Did two stints for manslaughter and various drug offenses. Over 20 years ago he walked into that place fed up with the insanity, and never left. Stayed for 18 years helping men to change they're lives and believe in them when they couldn't even believe in themselves. He would literally go walk the streets and bring guys back who'd started using again. He helped me believe it was possible to live a normal life again and rebuild the wreckage of the past. He was my hero.

Just found out he died last night from cancer. To be honest, I'm pretty fucked up about it right now, so I'll be on again and off again this weekend.

Man, I hate those kind of phone calls.

They look like Phyllis Diller,

Sorry to hear that, Mark.

People really can change, and the guy spent two decades doing good works. At least he died on the right side of the moral fence.

I take it he had no idea he had cancer?

That sucks man...I'm sorry for your loss.

Very sorry Mark, that really is sad, such a special person shouldn't have to die... People like that don't deserve it, but nonetheless, they do, and there isn't really anything we can do about it...

What a gong show! 0200 this morning, my daughter vomits all over the air mattress, her blanket, her brothers blanket and both pillows. Air mattress ruined, tent stinks to a very high place and to top it off my wife's back, shoulder and neck are all sore. So we're back home...worst trip ever.

What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.
