The only buildings i know with aircon are my school's ICT rooms. And quite a few cars dont have AC either.

I don't know of any buildings around here with A/C. It's never needed. Fuck the sun.

Geez, how do you people live like that? A/C is nearly a universal standard in homes, buildings, and cars here. If you tried to sell a home/car without A/C the buyer would look at you like you were trying to cheat them.

Easy - we don't need aircon

Remember, without the gulfstream they'd be sub-arctic.

I guess so, but still...

Sometimes it feels like we are subartic.
Quite simlpy, the average temperature here, even in summer, is low enough that it's fairly common for people to walk around with heavy clothes or coats on. Seeing someone in a pair of shorts, for example, is rather uncommon.
Over here, an A/C system would just be a waste of money. It'd never be used.

...god, but that sounds really appealing at the moment. It's hot enough to fry an egg on the sidewalk here at the moment.

That's an average summer day in Florida, heck a little below average actually.

Aye, that was a freak event for Europe. The fact that quite a lot of people died due to it is quite telling that we simply aren't able to cope with such temperatures if they're forced upon us for a long period of time.
Hell, people in some countries were drinking
wine to try to cool off.

Ugh. That's just about "get me the fuck out of here" temperature to me.

Yes, really. That heat wave involved temperatures you'd probably consider distinctly "meh".

I say it's nice and cool because we finally got some rain the last two days. We've been in drought conditions lately.
The last two weeks, every single day, were over 40 C, with a record high of 40.6 C.
Or 105 F for us Americans.
