Or should this go into "Cool Pictures?"
I love that William Shatner can have conversations with NASA whenever he’s bored.
I love how they refer to him as "Captain" and inform him like on TOS.

Titanic is my mum's favourite film. When it came out in 3D I managed to convince her and my dad to go see it at the cinema. She had never seen it on the big screen - she and dad are both disabled and getting out is difficult for them. Oh, and she'd never seen a modern 3D film before.

Sitting listening to my mum literally gasping with amazement and oooing and ahhhing her way through Titanic was one of the more perfect experiences I've had. Cameron is more than welcome to that bit of milking as far as I'm concerned.

Point taken. I rescind my venom. :)

I don't know. Maybe The Motion Picture would look nice in 3D. It's a visual film, with that travel into V'Ger.

Ah, that would be fantastic. I would just like to see that scene on a big screen, like the Dallas Cowboys' obnoxious, oversized monstrosity. Or an IMAX.

Funny thing. There was a bit of a tussle over here about 238 years ago. The outcome? We get to call shit whatever we want. As I've said before, we could call it "your mom's hairy ass" if we wanted, but it's clumsy to say and the derivation would be about a bitch to explain. I deign to refer to it as "American football" when denizens of other nations are involved in the conversation, because you lot seem to be unable to figure out that an American will generally use American meanings, but the fact that everyone else in the world calls soccer "football" means slightly less than a skiny rat's ass to my usage of the term "football" for American football.

Here's a very brief thought experiment: AFAIK, nobody but denizens of the UK calls sausages "bangers." Therefore, should we berate you for calling them that, or insist that your usage is wrong?
