Adblock eliminates something like 95%+ of the ads you see. It's literally night and day when you use it. It's bad enough that a lot of advertisers are desperate to try and find a way to "outlaw" it.

No Scripts is a royal pain in the ass when you start using it. You just have to let it know which sites you visit to trust. A lot of the ads that adblock misses it kills.

Aye, I can testify to the effectiveness of AdBlock Plus too; I have it installed at home. Just add the proper "subscriptions" in the AdBlock setup window, and that provides a whole list of servers AdBlock will block. Also, you can right-click on anything that gets through and add it to the blocked list from the right-click menu.

I installed the Adblock and was still getting the pop-up but not the annoying noise that was coming with them, so I added the other 'No Scripts' and so far no pop-ups. I will probably have a problem when I go to my work portal since they have a lot of popups, like our e-mail program and time sheet.

When I first went to my blog a lot of things didn't show up, couldn't figure it out at first, then I realized . . .
