OK, here's one: I don't know what franchise that thing is from, but instead of
Normandy it should have been called the
S.S. Compensator.

It's the Second Normandy from the Mass effect series. The original was a much smaller stealth ship named the SSV Normandy built by the Human Alliance but the second was a total w*nkship built by a semi-terrorist organization named Cerberus.

I don't enough about relative statistics of the ship within that franchise to judge it's wankiness... but it couldn't be more phallic if it were a picture of a penis.

Well, considering the Normandy 2 Crippled a massive alien city ship thing in...i think it were 2 or 3 shots, and its a mid sized high speed cruiser.

Meh. It's still a souped-up muscle car driven by a 32-year-old virgin.

While I still think you're wrong, I can agree with on the futility of trying to find any source that actually explains the details of space maneuvering. The only thing I've come close to is this...

...the important part being the last line "as it required precise aim through one's center of mass."

Ah, good point, sometimes I have a problem with letting go of a concept. Now to bludgeon that tendancy into submission. I found plenty about the OMS and the RCS, that while interesting, just didn't answer the question that I was asking.

I don't get it. It looks just barely different enough from a Sovereign to be called a different class... but not different enough to bother having it around.

Yeah, it's the angle. The ship, if I remember it, is a lot different from a Sov.

OK, much different. Looks very utilitarian in that one, like a supply ship or tender.
