They could, but at that point they'd be so close as to not need the probe to find us. That probe has been flying for 30+ years and is only now leaving the outer edges of our solar system. It'll be tens of thousands of years before it reaches anything interesting, if at all.
One of the sillier things about ST V... Klaa blows up Pioneer with his Bird of Prey. I always imagine some Starfleet guy on Earth sitting up and screaming "Red Alert! There's a Klingon ship right outside the solar system!" :D

I... believe SFDebris pointed that out in his ST V review. :D :lol:
