It's really a kludge. The aft firing guns especially are horribly mounted with most of their effective arc blocked by the ship itself. It could likely be massaged into a much more intelligently designed shape. I hope whoever wrote up the in universe stuff on it includes some kind of rushed production idea.

I'm not sure anyone really knew what the hell they were doing with those things. The E-wing was meant to be a super fighter but failed. And the K-wing was just.... :worried:

What kills me is that its fucking huge but no hyperdrive. Even the A wing has a hyperdrive. No warhead launchers either.

The E wing reminds me of a Viper from BGG. The K wing just :wtf:

I'm guessing that a lot of the pilots felt that way about K-wing since it didn't seem to catch on.

I second Slave 1, I think that it's such a nice looking ship.

Thats insane... if you're going to build a craft like that then forget to give it a way to get around.

Doubtful... even the Empire was working on fighter designs that allowed the crew to survive. TIE Advanced and TIE Defender models for the start.

Just seems like a fluff writer that was missing out on some IQ points.

IIRC, most larger Imperial fighters/bombers had hyperdrives.
