Re: I Hate Enterprise
Even "emotionless" isn't accurate. Those Vulcans who live by Surak's teachings (all of them by TOS up until Sybok's cult) make the ongoing attempt to suppress their emotions and live by the rule of logic, but those emotions are still present and the motivation of pure logic is affected, not inborn.

Re: I Hate Enterprise
You know, I was just rewatching the Vulcan reform trilogy, and I'll be damned if that prime minister Vulcan wasn't smiling, frowning, and scowling the whole damned time. For three episodes!

And yes, he was rather emotional.

Re: I Hate Enterprise
Most of the Vulcans that were shown were very emotional if you count smug arseholes as an emotion.
What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Re: I Hate Enterprise
Vulcans have ALWAYS had emotion and shown it. They just deny it. I defy anybody to show me a Vulcan that we see for more than a few minutes on screen who delivers all of his or her lines in a total monotone with an expressionless face.
We've even seen Vulcans admit they have emotions, many times, and they they simply control them and don't act on them.

Re: I Hate Enterprise
I don't hate Enterprise. To me the series is a lot like Voyager. It had potential, lots of it, and it manages to squander every little bit of it. In both series the few shining moments of real honest to goodness trek only made it worse as they'd give you glimpses. A retro series with no retro. A Trek series with no Trek. It's a waste of four seasons of TV.

Uh, yeah. Those are exactly the reasons we hate the show. I kinda don't get how you don't hate it if you agree with us on that.

Re: I Hate Enterprise
Because I can't quite get through the disappointment to flat out hate. There are still the occasional episodes that I enjoy. Maybe part of me wants to like it so bad that I can't make it past apathy to hate.
Re: I Hate Enterprise
I enjoy the Wild West one for the sheer stupidity of it, its kinda fun too, especially seeing Reed shoot T'Pol, but the series is annoying, and it has so many annoying characters too.
