If you're "tapping veins" with a pickaxe, you've got far more serious medical issues than some wacky chemicals, my friend.

While that would probably come in handy we would need something a little harder than silver if I as to forge anything of use. Iron ore would be great but copper would do in a pinch.

So what do we have:

Metal work: Teaos
Camp builder: Tsu

manual labor for me, basically. I'll toil in the fields. I also have some basic sewing skills and common sense.

Ooh, here's another serious issue: what about those of us with diseases, mental or otherwise, or other disability. If Tsu has a hard enough time getting around on pavement now, what about the natural surface of Earth? Then, there's Mikey's Type 1 Diabetes and my own Type 2 - no insulin for the former and meds for me. Then, without my antipsychotics, I could get pretty wonky...

Well, for me - as I have no useful manufactory skills, though I can cook over open flame pretty damn well and am bright enough to fabricate some things - a great deal of manual labor along with the necessary high-protein diet of such a life would go a long way towards mitigating the worst effects of the diabetes. Then again, if it doesn't, I won't be a burden for too long...

Well, I won't be doing much climbing, for sure, but softer surfaces like sand, and grass are better on my knees. If we had to move a long distance, I'd just have to catch up later (its okay, I can navigate by the sun ).

I can also tell time by the sun within a margin of ten or fifteen minutes; maybe it's innate, I don't know.

Really? I'd have expected the opposite, at least in the long term. Softer surfaces require more effort.

Long term would be a problem for sure. I don't mean like mushy wetlands, or mud, but pavement sucks.

well, I can be the fire guy...we heat our house with wood so I can find good burning wood and start a fire.

Hmm, the more i read this, the more it laaks like the most useful place for me would bo on the open fire, being served as food.
