Sorry, what I meant was the fact that (at least in the Expanse), Enterprise tended to have more hull breaches than ships of other era's, instead of being the same.
As for hull plating, there have been many plausible explanations for what that actually is (and by plausible, I mean by today's tech).

Agreed, but it seemed to me like a good spitball would breach the hull. If it was me, I would have put more armor on the thing. Regular armor plating may not be very useful for long, but that would have made more sense that "hull polorization".

Best Enterprise: In terms of styling, I love the E-E and the E-B.

Drinks: How about that green Aldebaran Whiskey stuff? Anything that can get Scotty wasted is something I want to try!

Best Battle: Has to be First Contact, although as usual they didn't show nearly enough of it. You'd think in a full-length movie they'd make time to give us a really good long battle scene. The one in Nemesis was fantastic, but the movie sort of fell a bit short in my mind.

I love the idea of a poll of worst Captain's decisions. I'd like to nominate Janeway destroying the Caretaker's array before sending Voyager home. Don't they have timers in the 24th Century? Set the tri-cobalt devices to detonate after the ship is sent home. Then we would have been spared 7 years of that annoying doctor and Neelix.
