"You think I asked him to? The moment I got him on the vox he just announced he'd be here in the moment to meet us and that's all he said before he cut me off."

"Wonderful. A convenient way to avoid giving up any information." Seeing the look of indignance on the Adepta's face, Trask continued, "I apologize, Sister. I don't blame you for our involvement in these webs. I just fear that the solution to our mission here involves something more complicated than just identifying a culprit - be it the Seer, the mnissionary, or whoever."

Karibi sighed. Yet more secrecy and mystery.
"Well, not much we can do now but wait, I suppose." He commented. He looked back down at the residue from the xenos, then looked back up. "Do we have any solid containers? Jars, and such?"

Phebia nodded silently at Trask. "A pity we don't have a few squads of celestians and retributors, we could round them all up and question them at once rather than sneaking around like we're somehow in the wrong."
She listend to Karibi's question. "Not with me," Phebia said. "I didn't expect to do any canning on this trip."

2143 Day 2:
The native hunter tosses Karibi a few bottles of ale, "here, you use these?" He asks before resuming his vigil.

"My thanks." Karibi replied. The bottles would do nicely as temporary containers. He wandered off to the still smoking half-track, returning with a small shovel. He began using it to carefully extract clumps of residue-filled soil, pour it into a couple of the bottles. As he worked, he looked over at the native leader.
"Tell me," He said. "Have you ever seen creatures like that before?"

2144 Day Two:
"Seen before? Aye, few times. Rarely approach us, only watch yes?" The native scratches his face, obviously thinking. "Only start seeing last few years."

Milo's eyes snapped fully open as he heard the feral's response. "The last few years?" he asked curiously. "Would you say you only started seeing them since work on the cathedral began?"

2144 Day Two:
The feral leader looks down and you can see him counting his fingers and muttering to himself before he looks up at Milo and nods, "yes, seems to fit."

"Great," Milo muttered. He glanced meaningfully around at the rest of the acolytes and said, "Does this mean that the Ordo Xenos are gonna show up, too?"

Phebia groaned. "Let us pray not. Why would these xenos start showing up when the cathedral starts being built? Daemons are threats to all."

"Because," Milo answered, "apparently only one form of heresy isn't sufficient for our quarry. Maybe xeno henchmen to protect him - or them - while they prepare for whatever unholy rituals they plan?"

"Or it's possible that these manifestations may have been caused by these creatures." Karibi commented, finishing his work. "I think our best bet will be to get to the Cathedral as soon as possible and ask the Bishop a few questions."

Phebia sighed. "We have far too many questions and far too little information."

"Or it's possible that these manifestations may have been caused by these creatures," Karibi commented.
"I don't believe so," Trask replied. "I checked to see if those xenos were sorcerous or daemonic creatures - there was no taste of the Warp about them. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that the answers will agree to wrap themselves up in so neat a package."
