Ignoring the commotion, while staying Pahr's hand, she answers, " I just finished a mission on this planet, when i got orders to meet up with a group of acolytes at these coordinates. That ok with you, Scriviner?" She continued sarcastically.

"Not particularly." He replied, rather relieved that Pahr's weapon had been forced down but still unwilling to lower his own. "Who sent you? And how did they know we'd be at this exact same spot? And how did you arive here? I see no mode of transportation. Am I to believe you managed to catch up with a moving vehicle on foot?"

"I received my orders a day ago. The seal of the Officio Assasinorum was on them, but I wasn't told any specifics. They dropped me off a few klicks from here, and I hoof it the rest of the way. Calmly reaching into her body suit, careful not to make sudden movements. She pulls out a tattered piece of paper with her orders scribbled on it. " Here, have your Psyker read me if you must ," she snarled.

"Not a bad idea, actualy." Karibi snapped back at her. He glanced over at Haxta briefly. "Could you grab those papers and see what's on them?" He asked.

" Is the gun really neccessary?" Haxta asked Karibi, even as she did as he asked. " We well out number her, I do not think she is going to attack you." She glanced at the papers.

"I'm not too interested in letting her try, all the same." Marco replied calmly, still keeping the gun aimed at the woman.

Trask glanced at the agitated Adept, and then at the newcomer. He narrowed his gaze, then relaxed and turned back to Karibi. "Well, this 'Lot' is no daemon, witch, or warp-beast, at least." Turning fully towards Lot, he added coldly, "By the way - I'm not 'his' psyker. Showing up unexpectedly with unconfirmed orders from your Officio - and no communication from the Conclave or the Ordos - is probably a bad position to start disrespecting people."

"Thank you." Karibi replied to Trask. "So that narrows it down to traitor or unknowing pawn."

" Well her papers back up her story," Hatxa said. " Of course, if they were faked I do not think I would be able to detect it," she added after a pause.

Karibi paused, suddenly unsure of his previous convictions. He glanced at Haxta, the documents in the Tech-Priest's hands, then back at the new-commer. After a moment, and with obvious reluctance, he lowered his revolver.

"Alright then," Trask said, "Under whose auspices was the Officio Assassinorum petitioned for your services?"

" Here," Haxta said, offering Lot the papers back. " Perhaps we could all sit down by the fire and discuss this matter further?" she ventured.

2127 Day Two:

After the end of the combat the natives who had been sleeping in their tents had come bursting out and after a short but heated discussion with their leader had resumed their slumber, this time leaving the doors open for ease of egress.

The native leader had wandered around the site examining the remains of the Xeno's before resuming his vigil by the fire, though he had made sure to reload his musket before settling into his routine of scanning the wilds.

Lot nodded in the Psykers direction on her way to the fire, "I meant no offense Psyker, sorry I didn't catch your name." Continuing on she notes," As long as I've been in service I've never been given all the details, and either way you look at it we are all pawns. Whether my orders are genuine, I don't know. Have you ever questioned orders handed to you, with an official seal ? "

"I've never had reason to wonder whether the seal was real." Karibi replied evenly, still unwilling to let the matter drop. "At least, not until today."
