Less than most other European countries. We get xmas day, boxing day, new years day, two days at Easter, then there's May day (1st Monday in May), Spring bank holiday (Last Monday in May) and Autumn bank holiday (1st Monday in September). So 8 in total, they just seem to be all huddled together in and around May.

I haven't been breaking it - I swear it's purely coincidental that the site's just happened to become broken when I've been throwing monkey wrenches into the code...

um, nevermind. I didn't say anything about monkey wrenches. I'm not the saboteur you're looking for. Move along.

Have fun, Ian. Any islands in particular, or are you just going to see what looks interesting when you get there?

I'm sure he'll see plenty that looks interesting.

Of course, he's going with the missus, I think, so he's only allowed to be interested in coral reefs and sunsets.

What cruise line? Around this time last year we went on a Caribbean cruise on Royal Caribbean's Mariner of the Sea. Enjoy yourself and safe travel.

Jethro's fishing report:

The catfish war between my father and I continues. I caught 3 catfish today, he caught 0. Individually they were 10, 12 and 15 lbs. The new rod and reel set up handled them nicely. Dad caught some nice crappie and we took the brim we caught to help stock the pond in my neighborhood.

He's threatened not to take me anymore since he's getting his A$$ handed to him. LOL
